Nitrogen Hose 20 Bar is an extruded softwall rubber hose listed for transfer of nitrogen gas or natural gas. The published construction uses an NBR/SBR blend tube, yellow NBR/PVC/SBR blend cover and high-tensile synthetic yarn reinforcement. Understanding the 20 Bar Product Designation

The 20 bar wording identifies the hose range but does not automatically approve every hose size or assembled configuration for 20 bar service. Confirm the current manufacturer data, normal working pressure, pressure spikes, duty cycle, fittings and assembly method.

The Complete Assembly Determines the Limit

The allowable working pressure is governed by the lowest-rated hose, fitting, ferrule, clamp, valve, regulator or adapter. Never exceed the verified rating of any component.

Gas Compatibility and Service Review

State the exact gas, purity, composition, possible contaminants and intended transfer process. “Nitrogen” or “natural gas” alone may not describe every operating condition, so compatibility of the tube, seals and fittings must be checked against the actual service.

Confirm the Gas Identity and Process

Do not use this hose for oxygen, breathing air or another gas unless the exact product and assembly have been specifically reviewed and approved for that service. Mixing up gas lines can create a severe hazard.

Temperature and Environmental Conditions

Compare the published -30°C to +70°C range with both gas and ambient temperatures. Consider radiant heat, outdoor exposure, oil contact, abrasion and nearby equipment. Low-temperature or rapid gas expansion conditions may require additional review.

Connections, Sealing and Leak Tightness

Confirm connection type, thread or flange standard, sealing method, fitting material, hose bore, length and orientation. Gas fittings that appear similar may use different threads or sealing faces.

Commissioning Must Follow an Approved Procedure

A competent person should inspect and leak-test the completed line using the method, test medium and acceptance criteria required by the equipment manufacturer or site procedure. Never check for a gas leak with a flame.

Routing, Inspection and Safe Handling

Route the hose away from sharp edges, hot surfaces, vehicle traffic and ignition sources where relevant. Avoid twist, kinks, crushing and excessive bend. Before handling, isolate the gas supply, shut the valve, depressurise the line and confirm a safe condition under the site procedure.

Remove the hose from service if it shows cuts, blistering, exposed reinforcement, hardening, softening, leakage, damaged fittings or unusual deformation. Repairs or substitutions should not be improvised.
