Dry Disconnect Couplings Overview

Dry Disconnect Couplings, also called dry break couplings, are designed to connect and disconnect transfer lines while limiting product release compared with an open-ended connection. How a Dry Disconnect Connection Is Used

A typical system uses matched hose and equipment halves with internal shut-off features. The exact sequence, residual volume and interlock arrangement vary by manufacturer and model, so personnel must follow the verified operating instructions for the supplied coupling.

Matched Halves Are Essential

Do not assume that couplings with a similar appearance are interchangeable. Confirm manufacturer, series, nominal size, connection type, coding and mating-half details before connection.
