Sandblasting Hose 10 Bar is a softwall abrasion-resistant hose listed for delivery of sand and cast-steel shot. Selection must match the abrasive, hose size, pressure, temperature, couplings, static-control requirements and blasting equipment.

Published Construction

• Tube: antistatic black NR blend with high abrasion resistance.
• Cover: black NR blend described as abrasion- and weather-resistant.
• Reinforcement: multiple layers of high-tensile synthetic cord.
• Temperature: -30掳C to +70掳C.
• Safety factor: 3:1.

Understanding the 10 Bar Designation

The 10 bar title does not approve every size or assembly. Confirm the size-specific working pressure, compressor setting, pressure loss, surges, coupling retention and manufacturer data.

The Lowest-Rated Component Governs

The complete blast line is limited by its lowest-rated hose, coupling, nozzle holder, valve, clamp or adapter.

Abrasive and Wear Review

State abrasive type, particle size, hardness, flow rate and operating cycle. Wear rate varies with velocity, bends and handling, so inspection intervals should reflect actual service.

Inspect High-Wear Areas

Pay particular attention near couplings, bends and sections dragged across surfaces. Replace the hose before reinforcement is exposed or wall loss threatens integrity.

Static Electricity and Continuity

Blasting can generate static electricity. The antistatic tube is a published feature, but bonding, grounding and continuity requirements must follow the equipment manufacturer and site risk assessment.

Verify the Complete Assembly

If continuity is required, test the assembled hose using the specified method. Do not assume that tube material alone provides an acceptable path through fittings.

Couplings and Routing

Confirm bore, length, coupling type, retention method and nozzle connection. Route away from sharp edges and heat, avoid kinks and crushing, and protect against traffic and uncontrolled movement.

Inspection and Safe Operation

Only trained personnel should operate blasting equipment with the required controls and PPE. Before handling, stop the compressor, isolate energy and release trapped pressure. Never point a blast hose or nozzle at people.
