Standard production lengths 30 or 40 metres

Typical Transfer Applications

According to the existing product information, Type-GG is intended for suction and discharge transfer of selected petroleum products in in-plant applications. It may also be considered for tallow and high-aromatic hydrocarbon duties, subject to confirmation of the exact media, concentration, temperature and complete hose-assembly compatibility.

Documented Manufacturing and Temperature Information

  • Manufacturing reference: EN 13765 Type 2
  • Manufacturing reference: AS 2117 Type 3, Grade 1 and 2
  • Stated temperature range: -30°C to 80°C, depending on the conveyed media

The stated temperature range does not by itself confirm suitability. Pressure, media compatibility, end fittings, sealing materials, electrical-continuity requirements and site conditions must also be reviewed.

Information Needed for Hose Selection

  • Product or media being transferred, including concentration where applicable
  • Operating and design temperature
  • Operating and design pressure, including suction, surge or vacuum conditions
  • Required internal diameter and hose length
  • End-fitting type and connection standard
  • Installation routing, bend radius, movement and handling conditions
  • Required testing, inspection or documentation

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Composite Hose Type-GG suitable for every petroleum product?

No general description can confirm universal compatibility. The exact product, composition, temperature, pressure and complete hose assembly must be reviewed before use.

What is the difference between Type-GG and Type-SG?

Type-GG uses galvanised mild-steel inner and outer wires and is classified here as a Fuel and Oil Group 1 hose. Type-SG uses an SS316 inner wire and is classified separately for selected chemical-transfer duties.

What should be included in a quotation request?

Provide the media, temperature, pressure, hose size and length, end connections, installation conditions and any required testing or documentation.
